Organic high oleic sunflower oil comes from expeller-pressed GMO-free organic sunflower seeds, grown and processed without the use of any pesticide or chemicals.
Sunflower oil is commonly used in food and cosmetics manufacturing. The smoke point is 440°F, good for frying. Sunflower oil is high in Vitamin E and used as an emollient in cosmetics.
The light color and neutral smell assists in making organic high oleic sunflower an ingredient that does not overpower other ingredients in the formulation.
The difference between high and mid oleic sunflower oil is in the fatty acid composition. High oleic sunflower oil has more monounsaturated fat (11g) vs mid oleic sunflower oil (8g). The polyunsaturated fat is lower in high oleic sunflower oil (0.5g) vs. mid oleic (4g).
