CHO is one of the very few private firms in the world to have their own International Olive Council (IOC) accredited laboratory on-site and the only non-governmental in the Southern Mediterranean.
Our state of the art laboratory is fully equipped to perform a wide range of analyses to fulfill the highest industry needs and guarantee that we meet the international standards. CHO Laboratory (LAHAL) is also ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 certified.
CHO follows strict control on chemicals and contaminants, such as pesticides, for all of our olive oils. These measurements help us ensure that the entire process of agricultural and manufacturing Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil is pesticide free.
Tunisia’s dry desert-like climate naturally reduces insects, eliminating the need for our farmers to use pesticides. To ensure we meets the organic standards for pesticide traces, our expert team has included pesticide testing in-house once every quarter as part of our Environmental Control Plan. A Pesticides Certificate of Analysis is issued for our records.
